The fifth season of Colonial Williamsburg's highly acclaimed Revolutionary City programs.  The two-hour, dramatic outdoor presentation of interactive stories and events begins at 3 p.m. each day at the east end of Duke of Gloucester Street near the Capitol. Ticketed guests are invited to follow their Revolutionary-era counterpart’s transition from subjects to citizens and make connections between those Revolutionary changes and issues facing citizens today.

Yorktown is an official affiliate port for OpSail 2012 Virginia™. On June 1-3, the week prior to the ships' arrival, Yorktown will host the Yorktown Maritime Weekend on the Yorktown Waterfront at Riverwalk Landing. Three days of waterfront celebration are planned. Events will range from a traditional Parade of Sail, static displays, ceremonies, educational programs, Adopt a Ship opportunities, free concerts and festivals, 2-hour days sails on the Schooner Alliance (tickets required), free tours of visiting tall ships Lynx, Spirit of Bermuda and Jamestown Settlement's Godspeed and much more all planned along the Yorktown waterfront. Free parking and trolley shuttle. Co-sponsored by the Yorktown Tall Ships Committee and York County. Family fun and free to public activities. Take a delicious tour of the world’s most beautiful theme park at the Busch Gardens^® Food & Wine Festival. This all-new event will feature sample-sized portions of superb foods, wines and other refreshments not usually found at Busch Gardens. Stroll through France to enjoy coq au vin with rosemary roasted fingerling potatoes, linger in Spain for venera con jamón with saffron rice and romesco sauce, and then stop in Germany for pork schnitzel and fine-crafted brews. It’s Busch Gardens' most delicious event. Bon appétit! 

Both the half marathon (Sunday June 2) and 8K (Saturday June 1) begin at Phi Beta Kappa Hall (600 Jamestown Road) on the picturesque campus of The College of William & Mary, wind through Colonial Williamsburg’s famous Historic Area, and end with a picture perfect finish at William & Mary’s Zable Stadium. The half marathon also includes the scenic Colonial Parkway toward the James River. The race director is Dave McGillivray, race director of the Boston Marathon. The Kids Fun Run on Saturday takes place at Zable Stadium and includes three lengths: 100 meter sprint, 400 meter dash and a mile run. The Run for the Dream 8K has been named the 2012 USA Masters 8 km Championships by USA Track and Field (USATF).

The Colony Auto Enthusiasts will return to the Square with a collection of more than 40 antique and special cars lining both sides of Duke of Gloucester Street in Merchants Square and surrounding a special Meals-on-Wheels display. The show includes Colony Auto Enthusiasts member cars, Featured Marque cars and Invited Guest cars.

The 5th Annual Williamsburg Invitational Car Show sponsored by the Colony Auto Enthusiasts is open to the public at no charge. All Show participants are contributors to the programs of the Williamsburg Area Meals-on-Wheels through their registration fees. In addition, we encourage all visitors to Merchants Square on that date to enjoy the cars and support the programs of Meals-on-Wheels by making a cash donation.
